Julius B. Nelson & Son has proudly served the Twin Cities and upper Midwest since 1942. Over the course of more than 80 years, we have successfully completed drywall finishing, painting, wood finishing, wall covering, and special coating projects across a diverse range of sectors, including schools, churches, office buildings, warehouse facilities, retail spaces, medical centers, and hotels.
throughout our history, we have exclusively employed union tradespeople, maintaining a skilled workforce of 40 to 65 journeymen and apprentices. All of our employees are fully certified in safety, having undergone rigorous training to ensure adherence to the highest industry safety standards.
Some of the major projects we have been involved with include Breck School, Methodist Birth Center, Carleton College Evans Hall, U of M Nano Technology, Children’s Hospital Expansion, Phoenix-on-the-River, Methodist Emergency Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital Expansion, Wal-Mart, Rogers Ice Arena, and countless tenant remodel projects.
We are most proud of our loyal customer base, our longevity, and the fact that many of our employees retire from our firm with over 30 years of service to our company and the painting and decorating industry.
